We like to believe that times of great adversity can be the catalyst for equally great acts of kindness, imagination and generosity.

During the dark days of the pandemic, what amazed us here at Vitrify was the way countries, communities, friends and strangers rallied together to fight COVID-19, wherever and in whatever way they could.

We were, and still are, inspired by how all industries stepped forward to help others when fighting for their own survival under the most challenging of conditions. From retraining staff to make PPE to repurposing factories to produce hand sanitiser, the world was awash with stories that helped motivate us during those long days in isolation.

At the time, it was exactly the effects of that isolation, the solitude of the most vulnerable, that we wanted to help tackle. For too many children in the UK, already suffering abuse or neglect before coronavirus, a grave situation had been magnified by the isolating effect of the pandemic. Then, more than ever, they needed our help and support.

And so, in doing our bit at this time of great national effort, we manufactured this Covid-19 badge, with profits going to the NSPCC, the country’s leading children’s charity. Mercifully, Covid-19 is long behind us, but the NSPCC continue in their tireless fight to end child abuse – it robs children of their childhood and leaves scars that can last a lifetime.  

At Vitrify, our support for their invaluable work is undiminished. Therefore, we are continuing to make available the remaining stocks of lapel pins, profits of which will be donated to this worthy cause. By buying a lapel pin and saying, “thank you!”, the NSPCC can continue its fight for every child.
